Hebron Electricity Company and sources to discuss ways of cooperation in the establishment of solar energy projects




The Director General of Hebron Electricity, Eng. Abdul Raouf Al-Sheikh, discussed with a delegation from the sources company owned by the Palestinian Investment Fund the latest developments in the field of developing and generating electricity through solar and other projects within the regulations and laws issued to organize work in this field. Mr. Azim Bishara and Mr. Essam Al Khayat, in the presence of Engineer Bassem Al-Tamimi and Engineer Hossam Askafi of Hebron Electricity.

In turn, Eng. Al-Sheikh welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the most important projects that are being implemented and the existing studies and future projects that Hebron Electricity is looking forward to finding suitable financing. The sources offered the possibility of financing some projects after studying the data submitted to them.

As discussed the financing of projects to install solar cells on the roofs of schools in the concession area of electricity Hebron by the Investment Fund, and discussed the terms of the proposed agreement and the possibility of expansion of these projects and technical studies required to do so.

The two parties discussed the possibility of working a partnership agreement between Hebron Electricity / Hebron Municipality and the Investment Fund to finance solar energy projects in the Hebron electricity concession area, including the construction of intelligent meter systems and fiber systems.

On the other hand, Eng. Al-Sheikh stressed the importance of this meeting, which aims at enhancing the current and future cooperation with Mekorot. He praised the positive cooperation and called for benefiting from the vast experience in the field of energy and renewable energy. Hebron Tayseer Abu Sneineh on the importance of the work of solar energy projects, hoping that this meeting will contribute to the development of electricity services provided to our people.
