In the context of the efforts and efforts of the Municipality of Hebron and its electricians to mitigate the effects of high electricity prices, and in order to support the national product to continue providing service to the food industry, Taysir Abu Sneineh and the Federation of Food Industries signed a memorandum of understanding that ensures that members of the Union will pay the monthly electricity bill on their date and during the grace period of (15) days from the date of issue of the invoice and the members obtain a patent of electricity.

The Memorandum states that the Company is obliged to suspend the delay penalties due on unpaid invoices prior to the date of signature of this Memorandum and its cancellation after discharge. Under the agreement, Hebron Electricity will give a discount of 4% to the subscribers who are committed to paying the electricity bills and registered with the Union starting from the bill of December 2017, provided that the monthly bill is paid during the grace period. All members of the Union shall pay their monthly bills as a condition for the deduction. In the case of a subscriber registered with the Union and the defaulted to pay the electricity bills to date, the payment of all the financial liabilities for the electricity of Hebron (cash) or / and a 6 month period gives a discount of 2% of their total value and each payment separately from the deposit prior to the date of the agreement.

The agreement stipulates suspending the amount of the deduction of 4% of the monthly invoice value of the members of the Union who are committed to paying monthly for a maximum period of 2 months so that factory defaulters can pay the company's fees in this period. In the event that any member of the Union fails to pay his monthly consumption bill on time, the Company shall direct a letter to the Union in this regard to inform him. The Company shall have the right to separate the current from the default and to pursue it legally before the competent authorities. The discount granted to those committed to payment shall be calculated from the members of the Union to provide the company with the letter of suspension of the membership of the defaulting in the Union until the payment of the company's dues and retroactively since the signing of the agreement and do not do membership except by a letter issued by the company to pay the due. And who had a pre-paid and committed payment counter with the above deduction. According to the agreement, this agreement is valid for four months.

In turn, Eng. Abdul-Rauf Al-Sheikh, Director General of Electricity, stressed the importance of this agreement, which comes within the framework of the incentive discounts approved by Hebron Electricity under the directives of the Mayor of Hebron. Taysir Abu Sneineh, to include all the participants starting from 1/12/2017, adding that the door is open to any union of different industries in the city of Hebron to sign a similar agreement in order to encourage the industrial sector in Hebron electricity concession area.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Federation of Food Industries praised the efforts exerted by the Hebron Municipality and the Hebron Electricity Company, as well as their advantage in following up the customer services and improving the quality of service provided to its subscribers.
